Welcome to 2019! What To Expect From The Blog.

January 20, 2019

Yes, this blogger still lives! You are welcome and thank you for visiting this blog!

Oh! Happy New Year, beautiful people. It is better late than never, right? You are welcome to another year filled with opportunities ready for us to seize them and make amazing moves.

I had the privilege to listen to the RCCG’s General Overseer during the January Holy Ghost Service. He asked what the New Year meant to us. He went further to assert that a new year is an indication that we are a year closer to the end of our journey on earth.

That’s some bitter truth. Even though we are aware that death is an inevitable circumstance, yet, no one or maybe most people don’t want to hear about it.

So, it is very important to assess ourselves and live each day purposefully.

I am elated and hopeful for the new year- especially for the blog!

Are you?

Not very well, I must say. There was a 6-month break, which very much lowered the pace. One thing I’d consider the highlight was that the blog went self-hosted. If you read the post, you’d testify to the fact that I thought it would make me more consistent. Well, it didn’t.

But hey, I published a few posts you should definitely check out. Here are some of them;

I am not certain there would really be any “change”, but here we go.

CONTENT: As you might know, this is a self-development and lifestyle blog. The aim is to share articles that will inspire growth and a healthy lifestyle.

Well, that won’t change.

As an addition, which I’m not really sure it can be considered as one (I might have published related posts) is personal experiences- the good and bad.

It’s a lifestyle blog, after all.

So, expect articles relating to how I take care of my skin, how I succeeded in reading 10 books in 3 months, answered prayer requests and otherwise, what made me cry, e.t.c (You get the point!)

But why?

Have you ever wondered what gives bloggers the audacity to “advise” their audience? Are we super humans? Do we know it all? NO.

We give opinions and dash out some advice, based on personal experiences, people’s experiences, what we read and what we heard.

My point? Sharing the good and bad will be an indication I could need some advice too, no one has to feel he/she is alone in a situation and to let you know it’s my blog and I can share anything! (okay, that was on a lighter note).

My faith is an integral part of my life. Therefore, articles in that regard will keep finding their way to the blog.

CONSISTENCY : Expect new articles on the blog 3 to 4 times a week. You don’t believe me, right? Trust me, I don’t either.

But, it is one of my goals, therefore, I’ll see to its achievement.

I received Ijeoma’s( from newsletter a few days into the year. For the past two years, she had attributed a word to each year. For her, it’s a better option to “resolutions”. EXCELLENCE was a word she chose for 2018 and it sure worked for her- and she put in the work, of course.

So, I’m imbibing that and the word I choose is GROWTH. Growth in every facet of life, including blogging.

What word would you choose?

Thank you so much for reading. I wish you an amazing 2019!

How was the festive season? It’s still really cold in my part of the world though, what about you? Have you noted down your goals for the year? (Please, tell me I am not the only one left out).

Please, help me serve you better, haha. What kind of articles would you love to read on the blog? Share your thoughts in the comments sections. I’d really appreciate that.

Love always,
